2010 THE SHASTA CLASSIC
The Shasta Classic has changed a couple of things for 2009, Perch fees will be $125.00 per bird or 4 birds for $400.00, additional birds beyond 4 birds are $100.00 and must accompany bird and is non refundable.. Grizzle Class: We will again have the Grizzle Race this year, Grizzle birds must also be entered in the 1st Classic Race, they may then be entered in the Grizzle Class for $100.00 ea, at the 320mi Race just for Grizzle Birds, The 1st Grizzle Bird to Trap will win that Class, the pay out will be winner take all if 10 or less birds are entered, if more than 10 it will pay 50/30/20/. No fees will be taken out of this Class and the bird could win both the Classic and the Grizzle Race.
9/22/09 Race 1: 150mi AVE SP only 9/29/09 Race 2: 200mi AVE SP and Crap Shoot 10/06/09 Race 3: 250mi AVE SP : First Drop will Spilt $15,000.00 10/17/09 Race 4: 320mi AVE SP: Pay Out see payout page ACE BIRD: Splits $7500 (50-30-20) Pay outs based on 300 birds going to the first Race. I will continue to be the Loft Manager, and we’ll have four races from the South, 150mi Davis CA, 200 Lodi CA, 250mi at Los Banos CA and 320mi at Harris Ranch HWY-5 CA, Perch Fee: $125ea or 4 birds for $400.00 additional birds beyond 4 birds are $100.00 each. And must accompany bird and is non refundable... Please make Checks payable to Dan Welch Ø Entry Fee: $250.00ea, Due Sept 8th 2009, ($50.00 goes into the 250mi race) ($25.00 goes to Ace Bird) Remainder to the 320mi race, 100% refund of entries if bird does not ship to the 150mi Race. Ø Any bird not activated by the first race 150mi, will be put up for Auction; breeder will forfeit ownership of bird. Ø Replacement birds accepted until June 15. Ø ACE Bird will be determined by Average Speed earned from all Four Races and will pay 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place 50-30-20 of the ACE Bird Pool. Ø All birds on the drop share CAPITAL prizes equally. Ø Pooling will be paid in order of trapping all ties pay equally. Ø Race day will be officially over one half hour after sunset of day two, If after one half hour after sunset of day two and all Capital prizes are not won they will be split among birds that have finished the race. Ø Pooling on the 250mi & 350mi races. Ø 100% payout on entries. Ø 10% of Pools, will go to offset cost and a donation to the City of Hope. Ø All Birds Vaccinated for PMV Ø NO AUCTION OR BUY BACK, BIRDS BELONG TO THE BREEDER. All birds not picked up after 14 Days become property of the Classic, bird will be shipped for $60.00 Ø Must be at least 21 years old to enter.
